The Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards

All early childhood classes as BCS follow a program called the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards (WMELS):

This program is a student-centered, hands-on program that uses a series of standards that focus on the domains of health and physical development, social and emotional development, language development and communication, different approaches to learning based on student interest and need, and cognition and general knowledge.

Four Year Old Preschool

The 4K program is an up to full day five-day program. We align our curriculum with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.  These standards consist of health and physical development, social and emotional development, language development and communication, approaches to learning, cognition and general knowledge, as well as faith development.

We are a hands-on, play-based program.  Our program consists of Jesus and Me time where students learn about the stories in the Bible.  We have multiple different centers in the room where the children are able to learn, grow and play.   For example, our writing center allows kids to work on their tracing of letters and numbers to a STEM center that helps children develop motor skills along with learning basic science skills.

Each family has the option to pick 3-5 days they would like their child to attend school. You also have a choice of 1:00 pm or 2:55 pm dismissal.

Registration

All families register through our online registration portal: PowerSchool Registration. Online registration begins in January. New families will complete two different rounds of paperwork online. The first round asks basic information about the student. Once approved through admissions, a second-round link will be emailed to the family which includes emergency contact information. Once both rounds are complete, a $100 family registration fee will be paid to the office to hold the student’s spot.

Why Choose BCS for Your Child?

“We chose BCS,  after much thought and prayer, and after checking into many other private schools in the area.  The School has an outstanding staff who carry themselves as positive role models and share their faith with the students.  Our daughters were challenged in all academic areas and were encouraged daily, by their teachers, to set high goals and reach them by giving their best effort.  Our decision to move our daughters to BCS was the best decision we could have made and became an investment in our daughters’ futures.”  -Scot and Kathy Ferguson
