Calendar Challenge

Introducing Our New Fundraiser: The Calendar Challenge!

Over the past few years, we’ve been proud to host The Blue Jean Ball, a dinner and auction gala that has contributed significantly to our budget. However, we’ve noticed that this event is a tremendous amount of work, and its revenue has been trending down year over year. Additionally, we’ve relied heavily on a small group of people and businesses to donate generously, a gift we deeply appreciate but don’t want to overuse.

This year, we’re excited to try something new—a fundraiser that lightens the workload, spreads out the financial burden, and still brings plenty of fun for everyone involved!

The Calendar Fundraiser –

Our new fundraiser will happen in two exciting phases:

Phase 1: The Calendar Challenge

  • Each family will receive a calendar with 31 days on it.
  • Your goal is to ask friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and others to donate the corresponding dollar amount for each day.
    • Example: Collect $1 for the 1st, $2 for the 2nd, $3 for the 3rd, and so on.
  • A fully completed calendar raises $496.
  • Our collective goal is to raise $100,000, so we’re encouraging our 250 families to participate fully in this challenge!

Key Dates:

  • The challenge runs until January 31st.
  • Use the holidays to kickstart your calendar by asking family and friends for support!
  • Students can even complete a second calendar if they’re motivated.

Phase 2: Celebration Event

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 5th, when we’ll host a celebration for parents at The Landing!
This special event will include:

  • Delicious food and drinks
  • A DJ and dancing
  • A silent auction
  • A raffle with a $500 cash prize

How to Enter the Raffle:
Each completed calendar equals one raffle ticket! (Yes, completing extra calendars means extra chances to win.)

Additionally, there will be opportunities for bigger sponsorships at the event.

Let’s Make It Happen!

We’re so excited to kick off this new fundraiser and can’t wait to see the incredible support from our community. Thank you for your participation and for helping us reach our goal.

Stay tuned for more details—and get ready for a fantastic year of fundraising and fun!

The BCS Development Committee is looking for a few families to sell calendar squares after mass the next two weekends. These calendars will not count towards a specific family, but rather a general one to help work towards our overall school fundraising goal. This also allows us to connect with parishioners who may not have a BCS student, but are still interested in supporting our school!

Any student who helps sell calendar squares after mass, will receive an Out of Uniform Pass as a thank you!

Don't forget to get your calendar filled out for our new fundraiser this year! Keep in mind, the entire calendar does not need to be filled out to return to school, but every little bit helps. If you already filled out a full calendar and would like to try and fill in a second, we would be happy to send home another copy for you or you can print one from Mrs. Berg's weekly email.

Calendars need to be turned in on or before January 31st.
